Now You See Me

PUBLIC INSTALLATION

THE SISTERS HAYES & WILL HEATHCOTE
PRODUCED BY RAWCUS

Rawcus in collaboration with multidisciplinary artists The Sisters Hayes and public artist Will Heathcote proudly launched NOW YOU SEE ME, an exciting interactive installation featuring the unique and wonderfully inspired portraits of eight young people of diverse backgrounds at the Solstice Celebration as part of the Light in Winter Festival in June 2016.

NOW YOU SEE ME also presented a series of pop-ups in and around Melbourne- The Venny, Kensington Adventure Playground, ArtPlay at Birrarung Marr, and Acland Street as part of the City of Port Phillip’s Spring Fling Festival.

The Sisters Hayes worked with RAWCUS and  young participants to create unique portraits, exploring the use of costume as a form of play and self-expression. In collaboration with public and sculpture artist Will Heathcote these portraits were brought to life in the form of life-size interactive photographic portrait towers, allowing viewers to interact with and mix and match the many portraits to create different combinations and experiences.
